MEETING CRITICAL NEED
Samaritan House, Inc. has served the region since 1977. It is the main non-profit agency addressing homelessness and poverty in San Miguel County. It has grown from an overnight transient facility to an organization that provides critical services such as
food (both warm meals and groceries)
affordable used clothing and household goods
VISION: Samaritan House seeks a community with all basic needs met leading to participation, empowerment and social justice for all.
MISSION: Samaritan House collaborates with public, non-profit, and interfaith agencies to provide a continuum of care to those in crisis due to homelessness and poverty while seeking social transformation by identifying and addressing the causes of poverty at the local level.
MAIN OFFICE: The main office is at 220 Bernalillo Street, Las Vegas, NM 87701; tel. (505) 454-1390. It is open Monday through Thursday from 9:15 am to 4 pm and Friday from 9:15 am to 1 pm. Personnel are available to assist in explaining the services and locations made available by Samaritan House Inc. and/or referring individuals seeking assistance to the appropriate agencies.
